Anyone talking about Vernaccia di San Gimignano cannot ignore quality house Panizzi. In 1979 Giovanni Panizzi made his dream come true, his own wine company. From the first vintage of 1989, they have been working here organically to bring the quality of vernaccia to great heights. As of the 2020 vintage, all their wines are also certified as such. In 2010 Giovanni died, but fortunately found an excellent successor in Simone Niccolai. Together with winemaker Walter Sovran, he works with great care and passion in the domain's various vineyards. Their ultimate goal is to get the unique terroir of the region and the characteristic features of the vernaccia into the wine in the best possible way. And they are succeeding quite well, considering the vast array of international awards Panizzi has won in recent years. Most of the vineyards are located directly around the cellars, so no quality is lost through transportation.
